The success of the Royal Family range continues: MARKER, the ski binding specialist, presents the new version of the legendary Duke, thus setting new milestones in the binding market. It combines the downhill functionality and performance of the Jester with the uphill ease of a pin binding. A remarkable and unique feature backed by its innovative Ride & Hike toe piece. In walking mode, the upper part of the toe piece is simply unlocked and turned forward, revealing the insert binding. To reduce swing weight, the upper part of the toe piece can be removed and stored in a backpack. The Lock & Walk multifunction unit automatically locks the ski brake and serves as a climbing wedge with a 10° inclination. When descending, the front section of the toe piece is re-inserted on the plate and the Auto Quad Lock technology ensures that it is locked at four points. Now the toe piece works like a normal ski toe piece, with all the associated benefits! The heel unit belongs to the latest generation of Royal Family freeride heel units, with lightweight magnesium housing and increased stiffness. The reduced height of only 24 mm guarantees direct power transmission and faster curve changes.
